Service Description
You've prepared. Now let's prepare both of you. A hands-on workshop so that when the moment comes, you're not just side by side — you're a team. You've done everything right. And yet. You've read the books, done the classes, practiced the breathing. So has he. But you've heard the stories — the partner on his phone, offering a snack when she's deep in the zone (no, you wouldn't want that chocolate digestive right now!), suggesting she "try her breathing" when she's already three steps ahead. Everyone talks about having a team. You're just not sure how to become one. What if he could actually help? Birth narrative is almost always aimed at the woman. Like it's 1811 and the man is nowhere to be seen. But you've never done the big things alone — the job changes, the house you weren't sure you could afford. You do things together. Why should this be different? What if he knew exactly where to place his hands to ease your body? What if you'd practiced enough that you didn't need words — just a look, a touch, a presence that says I've got you? This is a workshop for both of you Not more theory. Real, hands-on practice — together. Your partner gets to be the practical person he is, with skills in his hands and a quiet confidence in his chest. He gets to care for you. And he doesn't want to be a spare part either. Go from hoping he'll figure it out on the day, to knowing you're in sync and he has your back. Awkward massages to soothing touch that alleviates the pain. What happens when you've practiced together? You practice at home — not because you feel obliged to, but because it works. His hands find the right spot. Your breath eases. A rhythm builds. And when the day comes, you won't be hoping for support. You'll already be a team. He will be steady when you falter — not because he read about it, but because you practiced it. Together. Practical, personal, on your terms I'm Amy, a qualified pregnancy yoga teacher and birth educator. This workshop gives your partner real, adaptable skills — not a script. No jargon, no agenda. Just the two of you learning to do this together. Includes: biomechanics, breathwork to practice together, comfort techniques, how to read her cues, what to say and when silence is everything — and tools that carry into new parenthood. Ready to do this together? Ideal from 30weeks + Oakwood Community Centre (Oak Room) Saturday 21st March 2026 £89 per couple Spaces limited
